Busan, Korea Part 1

Yo!

I had the privilege of taking a side trip to Busan, Korea during one of my work trips last month. My first ever holiday this year! I definitely need more holidays :S anywayyyy…

I stayed at the TowerHill Hotel – pretty decent and reasonably priced in a convenient location for touristy stuff. To name a few; it’s near the subway, ferry terminal, Jagalchi Market, BIFF square, Lotte Mall and Taejongdae Park.

One of my first destinations was to get some food with air-conditioning at the Gwangbok Lotte Mall!

There’s an observation deck at the mall – accessible from the top floor, I think it was the 11th floor. The painful part is that there seems to be only 1 lift that brings you to the top! So imagine all the floors it has to go through….. So best way is to take the escalators! I think it still takes up to 5-10 minutes to go through all the escalators depending if your idling or walking up.

But the trip is worth it! You get a really awesome view up there! Aside from that, they have other facilities as well – cafe, park, mini-pet park and of course a place to lock your love!

They have this ‘cool zone’ which I presume is only available during summer. It has these tiny sprinklers which sprays very fine droplets of water for people to walk through and chill themselves!

To my surprise there was a Kakao pop-up store at the lobby of the mall! I’ve only known Kakao from the chat app but looks like they’re so popular that they’re selling merchandise now!

Peace-out for now. More to come 🙂
